About counselling

Counselling can give you renewed energy and coping strategies to get on with your life in a more productive way.

Counselling allows you to have the confidential space where you can explore any difficulties you are experiencing now or have experienced in the past.  You will be listened to and through the counselling process deveop a sense of acceptance of who you are and come to terms with life events.

 

There are many different types of counselling and it can often be difficult to know what is best for you.  I will give you an assessment in the first session and then discuss what your goals are and the best way to achieve them.  Counselling is a very personal thing where you are in control and I will be guided by your needs.

 

You often hear or will read about counselling methods such as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), integrative, psychodynamic, humanistic to name a few!

 

Which one is for you?  I will work with what I believe suits your needs and will keep you informed all the way.
